Believe in Ohio is a free, comprehensive, experiential learning STEM, entrepreneurship, and innovation program for Ohio high school students that was collaboratively developed by The Ohio Academy of Science (OAS) and Entrepreneurial Engagement Ohio (EEO).

The success of the Believe in Ohio program is built on preparing students to meet the demands of the labor market in a time of rapid technological change and industry disruption. Today’s students will need to be prepared with strong STEM backgrounds and the opportunity to apply this learning with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Funded by the State of Ohio, this program has successfully reached more than 10,000 students from more than 150 high schools across every part of Ohio. These students successfully completed nearly 8,000 STEM Commercialization and STEM Business Plans, with more than $1.2 million in awards and scholarships to Ohio colleges and universities.

We are very excited to announce that we will be holding an in-person event on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Kent State University Design Innovation Hub.

This event will be an award ceremony for the Believe in Ohio scholarship awardees, as well as the State Pitch Competition. All students who advance to State Competition of Believe in Ohio will be invited to this event. Invitations will come via email from The Ohio Academy of Science.

All students are required to attend so they can accept their scholarships.

Lunch will be provided for students. Parents are welcome to attend, Kent State University is donating lunch to the parents as well as guided tours of campus.
