Founded in 1891, The Ohio Academy of Science (OAS) is a membership-based, volunteer-driven, 501 (C) (3) non-profit and is the leading organization in Ohio to foster curiosity, discovery, and innovation to unite all who value education, science, engineering, technology or their applications to benefit society. The OAS serves a broad group of stakeholders (pre-college and college students as well as professionals from academia and industry) by conducting an annual meeting, publishing The Ohio Journal of Science, and by running a cadre of pre-college STEM and STEM-based entrepreneurship programs (Science Day, Buckeye Science & Engineering Fair, and Believe in Ohio).
